They chose SureshKumar, who had executive experience at three tech giants: Google, Microsoft and Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walmart confirmed the new CTO candidate on Tuesday local time, and its CEO DougMcMillon informed all employees that they had appointed a new CTO on the same day, but Suresh Kumar will not immediately enter Walmart to work. He will only start working at Walmart in July this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the news released by McMillon, Suresh Kumar is not just the successor of the former CTO Jeremy King. In addition to serving as the CTO responsible for the development of Walmart’s technology strategy. He will also serve as Walmart’s chief development officer, lead the Walmart lab. Including his work at IBM, Kumar has more than 25 years of technology leadership experience at several U.S. tech giants, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon and IBM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walmart hired Kumar, may also see his experience in technology, retail and other aspects. Its CEO McMillon said that Kumar’s experience in supply chain, advertising, cloud computing and machine learning will be conducive to Walmart’s integration in retail and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
