长期担任首席财务官的比格斯（Brett Biggs）将在22年后离开沃尔玛，在营利性和非营利性领域寻求新的机会。

Longtime Chief Financial Officer Brett Biggs is leaving the retailer after 22 years to pursue new opportunities in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

Biggs will officially leave the company on January 31, 2023, Walmart announced Monday. Until then, he will remain CFO until the company finds a successor, and then he will support the transition in an assistant capacity for the remainder of the period.

As part of the transition, Biggs will also continue to serve on the board of Wal-Mart’s fintech startups and Ribbit Capital, the company said.

Biggs’s successor has a big job to fill. As CFO, Biggs was responsible for accounting and control, corporate strategy and development, business planning and analysis, global sourcing, internal audit, finance, tax and investor relations.

Walmart said it was considering internal and external candidates for the position.

Biggs has been the retailer’s executive vice president and CFO since late December 2015, but has held a variety of positions since joining the company in 2000. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Wal-Mart International, Wal-Mart United States and Sam’s Club. He also served as the company’s Senior Vice President of International Strategy, mergers and Acquisitions, and corporate finance.

“His contributions are key to the important steps we are taking in our comprehensive journey to transform the company,” Walmart’s CEO said. Elevates the finance organization and strengthens the team through a commitment to excellence and talent development.”

Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Biggs was an assistant director of mergers and acquisitions at Leggett & Platt and an auditor at Pricewaterhousecoopers.
