【访谈】泰康保险集团股份有限公司创始人、董事长兼CEO陈东升：心怀“国之大者” 厚植民生福祉

Q1：回望70年，聚焦全国工商联成立发展的历史脉络，围绕民营经济波澜壮阔的成长历程，令您印象最深刻的事件是什么？

Q2：作为中国特色社会主义事业的建设者，你是如何认识促进民营经济发展壮大的意义的？

陈东升：改革开放40年来，我国民营经济和民营企业已经形成”五六七八九”的格局，即贡献了50%以上的税收，60%以上的国内生产总值，70%以上的技术创新成果，80%以上的城镇劳动就业，90%以上的企业数量。民营企业家不仅是推动经济发展的核心要素和创新的源泉，更是创造财富、解决就业、承担社会责任主力军。保护和发扬企业家精神，就是保护推动中国经济发展的核心动力。 CXO UNION-CXO联盟（cxounion.cn）

今年7月，《中共中央国务院关于促进民营经济发展壮大的意见》明确提出，”民营经济是推进中国式现代化的生力军，是高质量发展的重要基础，是推动我国全面建成社会主义现代化强国、实现第二个百年奋斗目标的重要力量。”

面对百年未有之大变局，民营经济更要自立自强，继续发扬企业家精神，在科技创新、经济发展、服务民生和参与社会公益等方面贡献更大的力量，从中国经济的舞台中心走向世界经济的舞台中心，成为中国式现代化建设的核心力量之一，成为党和人民信任和支持的正能量。

Q3：”强国富民”，这是对民营经济最好的诠释。与时代发展同频共振、在时代大潮中激流勇进的广大民营企业，紧跟国家发展战略和行业发展主航道，通过自己的拼搏和奋斗真正实现高质量发展的目标。请你介绍一下泰康在这方面的探索与实践。

陈东升：进入新时代，我国经济已经从高速度转向高质量发展。高质量发展的本质就是从投资、出口驱动转向内需、消费驱动，从跑马圈地、野蛮生长到创新、效率驱动。新形势下，我们党和政府采取多种措施为民营经济的蓬勃发展创造有利条件，我们民营企业应该主动转型，自觉走上高质量、高水平健康发展的道路。

创新是永恒的主题。技术的创新、服务的创新、商业模式的创新都会带来新的机会。中国民营企业经过40余年的发展和积累，已经从”模仿创新”走向自主创新阶段。

Q4：民营企业家是最早践行共同富裕理念的一批人，在实现企业发展的同时勇担使命责任。请介绍一下泰康在这方面的作为，以及你对助力共同富裕的思考与认识。

陈东升：企业家的本职是创造财富、解决就业、贡献税收，再就是参与社会公益。民营企业和民营企业家要专注主业、专注专业，要健康发展、高质量发展，要为中国式现代化贡献更大力量。

用市场经济的方式为人民服务是泰康的终极理想。近年来，我不知不觉投身到”万企兴万村”的行动中来，而且已经做了好多个项目，比如广东惠州环罗浮山乡村振兴示范带、杭州径山竹茶园，还有湖北京山农场等。我们将生命关怀、人文与乡村进行结合，希望能为乡村振兴提供一种新模式、新经验和新样本。

目前，泰康正积极探索政企合作、助力乡村振兴模式，在政府牵头下，充分发挥泰康的体系优势，以及销售、管理与品牌优势。与当地政府合作共建，形成合力。从促进当地生态改善、产业升级、文化挖掘、特色产品销售、人才回流五个层面，助力当地经济提振和共同富裕。

以京山农场为例，我们除了投资3个亿建成具有前瞻性风格的现代化农场外，更着重思考和解决农资、农技、农商的三大难题。首先，在政府支持下，发挥泰康的金融专业优势，引流社会资本，扶植种植养殖项目；然后，甄选项目，引进技术，例如桥米手工酿酒作坊，富硒蛋鸡养殖等；与此同时，搭建了”泰享购”的电商和线下销售平台，这个平台是农商的窗口，改变传统被阻塞的产品销售方式。 CXO UNION-CXO联盟（cxounion.cn）

Q5：新时代再谱新篇。站上新的历史节点，展望工商联事业以及民营经济的未来，您当下内心深处最想说的是什么？

陈东升：企业家是一个民族和国家强盛的筋骨。20世纪80年代，我在《管理世界》开创和主持中国500家大企业评价，在将中国500家大企业和世界500强企业进行比较研究的过程中，深刻认识到：一个国家的经济强弱和该国500强企业的多少直接成正比。没有一定数量在国际上数得着的大企业，国家的富强无从谈起。就毅然放弃了原来的梦想，坚定下海创业，走”实业报国”的道路，立志做一家世界500强企业。

30多年来，世界500强榜单中各国企业数量的排名证实了我当初的判断：从2020年开始，中国大陆（含香港）公司在《财富》500强的数量达到124家，历史上第一次超过美国121家。其实这么多年来，美国、英国、法国、德国、日本等发达国家世界500强企业的数量都在减少，只有中国在不断增加。这就是改革开放40多年的伟大成就。

Q1: Looking back 70 years, focusing on the historical context of the establishment and development of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and focusing on the magnificent growth process of the private economy, what is the most impressive event for you?

Chen Dongsheng: One of the most remarkable changes in ACFCI’s remarkable development history over the past 70 years has been the rise of private enterprises and the growth of entrepreneurs.

In 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee opened a new journey of China’s reform and opening up, and opened a new chapter in China’s economic development. In the wave of reform, private entrepreneurs have also experienced from blind to conscious, from immature to mature, from resource-driven to today’s efficiency and innovation-driven entrepreneurial transformation.

“Pure purpose, focus, do the right thing, time is the answer.” Firm market values, adhere to professional and standardized development, is the biggest feeling of our generation over the years of entrepreneurship. At the same time, we must win through strategy and innovation to build our core competitiveness. The strategy must be accurate, deep and far-sighted, so that it can be done early, firmly, solidly and sustainably. Do not toss, do not sway, the goal is firm, stable and far.

Q2: As a builder of socialism with Chinese characteristics, how do you understand the significance of promoting the development and growth of the private economy?

Chen Dongsheng: Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, China’s private economy and private enterprises have formed a pattern of “May 678, 89”, that is, they have contributed more than 50% of tax revenue, more than 60% of GDP, more than 70% of technological innovation, more than 80% of urban labor employment, and more than 90% of the number of enterprises. Private entrepreneurs are not only the core elements to promote economic development and the source of innovation, but also the main force to create wealth, solve employment and assume social responsibility. To protect and promote entrepreneurship is to protect the core driving force of China’s economic development.

Q3: “Strengthening the country and enriching the people” is the best interpretation of the private economy. Chen Dongsheng: Entering the new era, China’s economy has shifted from high-speed to high-quality development. The essence of high-quality development is to shift from investment and export-driven to domestic demand and consumption-driven, from racing and wild growth to innovation and efficiency driven. Innovation is the eternal theme. Technological innovation, service innovation, business model innovation will bring new opportunities. After more than 40 years of development and accumulation, China’s private enterprises have moved from “imitation innovation” to the stage of independent innovation.

Insurance is not only a financial service industry, but also a livelihood industry. With economic compensation, financial accommodation and social management as its core functions, insurance is closely related to the basic needs of the people. Especially with the acceleration of the aging society, livelihood issues such as old-age care and medical care have become the focus of attention of the people. The insurance industry returns to its roots and focuses on its main business, which is to give play to the synergistic effect of insurance, medical care, pension and other industries on the basis of the core functions of insurance, and solve the worries of the people’s needs for a better life.

Taikang combines virtual insurance and physical medical care business model innovation, relying on the three business segments of insurance, asset management and medical care, forming two systems of insurance payment and physical medical care service, changing the situation that traditional insurance companies only provide insurance products, providing customers with products and services of the whole life chain, and realizing the extension of insurance products, customers and services. Chen Dongsheng: The duty of entrepreneurs is to create wealth, solve employment, contribute tax revenue, and participate in social welfare. Private enterprises and private entrepreneurs should focus on the main business, focus on professional, healthy and high-quality development, and make greater contributions to Chinese-style modernization. The post-industrial era has two characteristics, one is the continuous growth of the service industry, and the other is the beginning of the countryside, bringing the modernization of the countryside. Agricultural materials, agricultural technology and agricultural commerce are actually a change, revolution and arming of agricultural civilization by the new mode of production of modern industrialization.

To serve the people in the way of market economy is the ultimate ideal of Taikang. In recent years, I have unknowingly devoted myself to the action of “ten thousand enterprises revitalizing ten thousand villages”, and have done a number of projects, such as the Luofu Mountain rural revitalization Demonstration Belt in Huizhou, Guangdong, Jingshan bamboo and Tea Garden in Hangzhou, and Jingshan Farm in Hubei. At present, Taikang is actively exploring the mode of government-enterprise cooperation to help rural revitalization, and under the leadership of the government, give full play to Taikang’s system advantages, as well as sales, management and brand advantages. Taking Jingshan Farm as an example, in addition to investing 300 million yuan to build a modern farm with a forward-looking style, we pay more attention to thinking and solving the three major problems of agricultural resources, agricultural technology and agricultural business. Chen Dongsheng: Entrepreneurs are the strong bones of a nation and a country. In the 1980s, I initiated and chaired the evaluation of China’s 500 largest Enterprises in Management World. In the process of comparing China’s 500 largest enterprises with the world’s 500 largest enterprises, I deeply realized that the economic strength of a country is directly proportional to the number of its 500 largest enterprises. Without a certain number of internationally recognized large enterprises, the prosperity of the country is impossible to talk about. For more than 30 years, the ranking of the number of companies in the World’s top 500 list has confirmed my original judgment: from 2020, the number of companies from the Chinese mainland (including Hong Kong) in the Fortune 500 will reach 124, surpassing the 121 companies from the United States for the first time in history.
